About Me

Architecting Intent | Socio-technical Strategy | Navigating Complexity

I started in the Master Plan era and survived to see its decline. Today, I’m perpetually practising in the major shift toward non-linear, polymathic Assemblage Thinking - where the most vital parts of a system aren’t the org chart, but the expressive traces of machinic expression between the gaps.

I’ve traded corporate autopsies and Target State delusions for an ontological rescue mission. Am practising and advocating use of all the good sociotechnical things from all the good sociotechnical peeps - Wardley Maps, Cynefin, Three Economies, Architecture of Flow - plus a mahoosive dose of philosophy to make architecture express a coherent intent rather than just blinking in bovine silence.

If you want to know the intellectual scaffolding I use to build these bridges - from the architectural deconstruction of Libeskind to the Machinic Assemblages of DeLanda - you can find a bit of a long-form manifesto here:

Architecture as an Ontological Rescue Mission
